Mr. Wiersema and Ms. Kulick

About Us

Daniel Wiersema and Kara Kulick are the Sixth Grade World Cultures and Geography Professional Learning Community at John P. Ojeda Middle School in the Del Valle Independent School District.

The two of them are responsible for collaboratively planning lessons, activities, assessments, and projects that help our middle schoolers better understand the world they are coming into.

This year we've specifically focused on a number of critical ideas in our classroom including, but not limited to: writing across the curriculum, technology integration, critical thinking skills (inference), building content-specific vocabulary, and project-based learning.
